Virginia Jean Fisher

Virginia Jean Fisher, 91, of Janesville passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Edgerton Care Center. She was born July 8, 1923 in Janesville, the daughter of Gerald W. and Leota (Peters) Fisher. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1942. Virginia was employed as a receptionist and office worker by Dr. Robert Agard, DDS for 23 years. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church since 1938 where she was active in various church groups though out the years. Virginia was an avid dachshund lover having owned three of them herself over the years. Virginia is survived by one sister, Donna Mayfield, three sisters-in-law, Barb Fisher, Marilyn Nickerson and Kate Fisher as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Robert and Richard Fisher and two sisters, Lorraine Kettle and Geraldine Huebner.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Cargill United Methodist Church with Rev. Forrest R. Wells officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Cargill United Methodist Church or the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
